Okay everyone. I just want to bring up something important about the new Nintendo 2DS system although it may not be urgent to read this journal. Before watching this video, I suggest you read this whole journal before you react to the video provided below.

The Nintendo 2DS is a downgraded version of the Nintendo 3DS handheld system, but it doesn't mean that this new system is complete crap. The reason WHY I'm saying this is because 1) the 2DS is a lot more child-friendly, and 2) it's also more affordable than the 3DS. Therefore, if you are one of those people who really cannot take too much of the 3D visuals, then the Nintendo 2DS is probably what you want to get.

Don't get me wrong, because I can admit that the 2DS may be somewhat lame, but I can still see why Nintendo went ahead to make this system. Sure, the downsides of it are not having the ability to fold or losing the 3D visuals, but on the plus side, the 2DS is more affordable, and it's even more eye-friendly, especially for little children who play Nintendo's games.

The Nintendo 2DS intro video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAExBT…

There's no need to be a whiner baby, people. Read my journal first, and then watch the video so you can understand what I'm saying.

Don't like the 3D option on the 3DS?  Turn it off.

That's pretty simple to do, but don't forget that not everyone has a 3DS.

Well, now that ya mention it... Huh, it does make sense now. I guess the 3D graphics do kinda make me sick.

That's why you have the option to switch it off, and that's why the 2DS is made although it is meant for little kids to play.

Yeah. The 2DS is for parents who don't want their kids hurting their eyes or breaking/losing something that cost a couple hundred. Kinda makes sense.

Yeah, the first time I saw this video, I was like "HUH?!?!? This came out of thin air." But when I see the additional reasonings behind it, I see where the folks at Nintendo are coming from with this. I still wouldn't get this because I already have a 3DS, but at the same time, I'm not complaining about this iteration either.

I'm going to keep my 3DS as well. My eyes can take the 3D visuals.

I like this idea because of the fact that it is child friendly.  I watch two children almost every day and one of them plays a lot of video games.  He would always ask me if he could play my DS and I would let him do so.  When I bought my 3DS, I didn't want the kids playing it because I was worried that it would strain their eyes.  Of course, I could turn the 3D off, but nope, kids don't listen and they want the 3D on.  As an aunt, I really like the idea because I don't have to worry about my nieces and nephews' eyes being strained, even though they aren't my children.  So I really like what Nintendo did.  It's a child friendly system and parent's won't have to worry about 3D.

I'm actually glad SOME people understand Nintendo's reasons for the 2DS. Too bad most people just can't see those reasons.
